I can’t thank Neil, Jaqui, Alex, and the entire Virtual Tour Experts company' team enough for the incredible work they did on our University of Cambridge Virtual Tour project! From the very first brainstorm to the final touches, they were the most reliable (and fun!) team anyone could hope for! Their attention to detail was unmatched . . . Together, they turned what seemed impossible into a reality, and now our Virtual Tour has become an outstanding tool for student recruitment! . . . I am looking forward to work together again in the future!

University Virtual Tour
We partnered with Cambridge University to create a distinguished virtual tour that reflects the prestige of one of the world’s most esteemed educational institutions.
The University of Cambridge already had an existing tour, but they collaborated with us to develop a more personalised and targeted experience for each user type. It was also critical that all content including maps, images, and talking heads could be updated instantly and easily by the team at Cambridge.
With over 800 scenes and more to come the challenge was creating an experience that was fast-loading, easy to navigate, and easy to manage.
Stand-Out Features We Used:
User Journeys: Split tours into user journey categories, such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Staff, and Parents. Each user journey page will display the relevant areas to that user.
Mini Tours: Separate the different colleges, subjects, and student life areas into mini tours that can be accessed and shared separately to easily share each faculty with the relevant prospective students.
Google Maps Integration: Customisable Google Map integration with hotspots and filters to easily navigate to specific colleges, faculties, or social areas.
Interactive 3D Map: A completely interactive 3D map that portrays the buildings to scale, allowing users to truly experience the spaces virtually.
History State: View a list of previously viewed scenes to easily navigate through to unseen areas or to revisit a scene.
